Welcome to Stella Ruffington’s Doggy Playcare! We offer doggy daycare, dog boarding, dog grooming and dog training at our friendly facility in West Seattle. Our goal is the best possible experience for your dog while in our care, whether it is for daycare, boarding or grooming.

Stella Ruffington’s is located on California Avenue Southwest, just four blocks south of the Morgan Junction. Our doggy daycare clients, dog boarding clients and dog grooming clients come not just from West Seattle, however, but from all over Seattle and from other parts of Western Washington. In fact, Stella’s attracts dogs from most of King County in an area that encompasses Kent, Renton, Burien, Bellevue, Kirkland, Des Moines and Vashon Island, as well as from southern Snohomish County.

Unlike many doggy daycare and dog boarding facilities, Stella Ruffington’s does not occupy a large warehouse-type space. We are a cozy, kennel-free facility in which our canine guests get to mingle and enjoy the kind of freedom that they experience at home. The number of canines that we accept for dog boarding and doggy daycare is limited, which allows us to give more attention to each individual guest, and to make sure that everybody has a safe time and a great experience.

We offer pet grooming and dog training by appointment. Our training programs are known throughout the northern and central Puget Sound region for their efficiency and effectiveness. No dog is too difficult for us to work with. We welcome all sizes, all breeds and all ages. We offer training that is geared to your specific needs, and also provide canine behavior modification services that address problems such as aggression, destructive behavior and other bad habits.
