Stella's playcare is divided into several areas. The first is the back playcare area for larger dogs or dogs that are very energetic and that can play with the larger dogs. Dogs in the back playcare are typically Labs, Great Danes and Golden Retriever.

Next is the front playcare for the small and medium size dogs. In addition, some of our older dogs and dogs that are on the shy side also hang out in this playcare. or shy dog where they can relax and feel safe.

The last area is the grooming floor. This is a good place for dogs that prefer to hang out people or just don’t feel comfortable in either of the daycare's. The dogs in the grooming area get a different type of interaction than what is in the daycare spaces. They see and say hello to everyone that comes into the shop. They still have the opportunity to play with the other dogs in the area, but usually, they are happy to just hang out and be loved.

Playcare is available Monday through Saturday and Sunday by appointment.

In order to board or attend the playcare, the following rules apply.

  1. Must have a playcare interview which consists of a temperament test and general introduction. There is no charge for this. Interviews are done by appointment, Tuesday through Saturday between 10am and 3pm.
  2. Dogs over 1 year of age must be spayed or neutered. If your dog is in heat, she cannot attend playcare or board with us until her heat cycle has finished.
  3. Dogs must be current on their shots. Puppies should have had at least their second round of shots. You will need to bring proof from your vet or have them fax us the records.
  4. Dog must be in good health. If you your dog is ill PLEASE do not bring them to playcare and jeopardize the health of the other dogs.
  5. We strongly recommend that your dog be on a monthly flea treatment program.
  6. Read and sign our Policies and Procedures/Liability release.
