Training Philosophy

We train not only your dog, but you and your dog together as a smooth-running team. We utilize positive motivation and reinforcement, using physical and verbal praise, and show you how to develop a relationship of mutual respect and mutual trust between you and your dog. We also show you how to take advantage of your dog’s pack instinct to lock in the kind of behavior that will make him a reliable and enjoyable member of the family. Whether your pack consists only of you and your dog or whether it contains numerous people and animals, we teach you how to become the pack leader in your dog’s eyes and how to communicate effectively with your pet through body language, personal energy and verbal commands. Most dogs derive great pleasure from pleasing their leader, and we will show you how to make this canine trait work for you.

You deserve a relationship free of ongoing behavioral problems. If such problems persist, they are evidence that your dog does not view you as the leader that you hope and expect to be. We will show you how to rehabilitate the relationship and will help you develop an understanding of practical canine psychology. Once you understand why your dog behaves the way he does, you will be able to correct and improve his behavior.
